Common Causes of Mispronunciation
Common Causes of Mispronunciation:
1. Giving the wrong sound to letters—Some people may find it hard to pronounce certain sounds, most probably because of their native language. For instance, Japanese people may find it difficult to pronounce the letter 'L'. Koreans on the other hand may find the letter 'J' hard to say.
2. Placing the accent on the wrong syllable—Some words become either nouns or verbs depending on which syllable you accentuate. Hence, for the word 'rebel', if you place the accent on the first syllable, it would be a noun. If you put the accent on the second syllable, it would be a verb.
